Landon Donovan’s Goodbye?

After a poor Everton show at St. Andrews on 13th March 2010 (closing score 2-two), Landon Donovan – a 67th minute substitute) says goodbye to the Everton travelling assist. At the beginning he’s passing his shirt to an individual in the crowd, but I couldn’t raise my camera up higher ample to effectively indicate that. Will he remain or will he go?

beckham is trash because he is not good enough to play in the barclays league so he goes to the mls to make it seem like hes good wen honestly hes not

i think its obvious that landon wants to be a toffee again, and its not cuz he has to much respect for the MLS cuz he knows its garbage, the thing wit landon is that he doesnt want to let the city of LA down, think about it the lad is from los angeles so if he left he wuld let his hometown down. it like rodwell leaving everton, he wuldnt leave cuz his from liverpool.

@guy2008rules I think he wants to move to everton, but has to much respect for the MLS and LA Galaxy to actually tell them outright. You can clearly see in the first two games this season the only thing we are missing is a quick midfielder who can play on the wing ???? MOYES AND KENWRIGHT NEED TO SORT IT AND GET HIM BACK IN A BLUE SHIRT

  8. guy2008rules says:

@park3nd, Blame MLS. Everton wanted to extend his loan but the Galaxy and MLS refused. Landon looks like he is more happier in England.

he’s good theres no doubt but he’ll never replace Saha. makes a good sub i spose. as for him coming here permanantly. he’s happy in LA. better to rule in hell than serve in heaven

i really wanted landon to come back to everton, but it doesn’t look like he wants to commit to living in england. i think he enjoys the easy life in LA and playing in a weak league. he’s very naive if he stays in the us and doesn’t further his career by playing in the EPL. he said he wanted to prove he could compete with the best ! 10 weeks isn’t enough, get over to england full time landon

Donovan was the one that got me into watching premiere league football, and now I’m a massive Everton fan. Next I go to England, I’m gonna make certain that it coincides with a home game at Goodison Park and some pub time in Merseyside.

What a great way for the season to end, up 5 spots from December 2009! I only wonder what it would have been if all the thrusters had been firing for the Toffees from the start.

But for right now I’ll just watch Donovan and LA Galaxy rule all!

@saucyisawesome, of course he is too good for MLS.. he probably even got better while at Everton 😀 look at Galaxy’s results this season 😀 6-0-1

Of course! I’m from Germany and his biggest German fan. I am very very proud that Landon played well in England. Every weekend I watched Everton. Now I am a fan of Everton FC. I hope he will come back to the Premier League in January 2011. Some things here in Germany are not very good. Some idiots say that Donovan isn’t goo because he did not very well in Munich. But those idiots are all Bayern Munich fans. No matter he is my favourite soccer/football player since the World Cup 2002. GO GO LD
