@dwreck1971 Very true on both things you said. I just feel like we have a few players that can pass well, maintain possession and pressure the ball at the same time. the only problem is getting them on the field at the same time. The knock against adu has always been his D, but with Jr, Jones, and Torres behind him why not utilize his talents. Right now holden would be good there too but he’s still out. Torres is a good cm who plays deep and can provide pressure, I just wish we would just try it

I can’t speak for the the guys Stormy, but my guess is, after yesterday’s game where Bradley was one of the few players with a solid game (albeit for one half), both guys would say he should start. Right now, Torres can’t get off the bench for his club team.
@StormyWeather21 Adu is behind Clint and Juan. Juan and clint have good feet and can hold up ball and finish, essentially with passes from Adu, Jones, Donovan, bedoya, Torres and even Ream. I believe the US will look like an entirely different team, in a good way. The only way I see the need to start both jones and Jr in this lineup is with teams that have powerful mids i.e overly skilled. That’s why I say torres and jones should start.

With theses starter we have great possession +pressure. Jones+Jr. cover for adu who passes great to forwards. Torres is a great passer from deep, no need for both jr/jones at same time. and back line is the same 4 obvious reasons.
Dempsey’s better than Landon. His success at Fulham proves this..Landon flopped for two German clubs. So what if he’s the best MLS player? That’s like being the best championship player..lol.
