I remember a guy in Louisiana once telling me that if American football was accessible to everyone worldwide there would be no doubt in his mind that is would be the greatest sport in the world…inside I was laughing…there is nothing that joins people from all walks of life, race, color, or gender like soccer/football/futbol. All you need is a ball, you don’t need to be very fast or strong the happiness that it brings us is unlike anything else. So I’m sorry world football is still the best.

If Andres gets that excited when someone else scores on a football pitch, I’d hate to hear him when he scores with his wife.

I grew up in one of those countries, and I can recall listening to my favorite games no the radio back in the 70s…Yes, this style is that old…even older..Nearly as old as fútbol itself 🙂

For those of you who had never listened to a futbol narrator before Andres Cantor, take note, there’s plenty more like him where he comes from…In countries like Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Colombia, and most South American countries, the way Andres calls the games is just a common, very widespread tradition..specially on the radio, which is where actually this style of narrating originated…
