Landon Donovan believes that the United States team should make it out of the group stage at the Copa America

Former United States star player has stated that the United States football team should make it out of the group stage at the Copa America. He said in a tournament as this the minimum that the United States should expect will be to advance from the group stage. He conceded that it might be difficult, but it is not impossible.

He said that the United States will be missing a player of the caliber of Altidore at the tournament and that it will not be easy to replace. But he believes that the United States have enough good players that could make up for his absence and that they should be able to perform well at the Copa America.

He believes that Klinsmann has different options at the moment, and he is surely going to find a system that will allow the United States to be dangerous in attack without taking too much risk at the back. (more…)
